About the Authors
This Takahashi Family is one of the most decorated family in Judo today. Mas, the family patriarch is an 8th Dan Black Belt, wife June is a 5th Dan Black Belt and credited with encouraging and supporting her 4 children's competitive pursuits over the years. Allyn, Phil, Ray and Tina have 9 university degrees between them. Allyn was Canadian national youth champion among other championships, Phil is a 3-time Olympian, 2-time World Champion mediallist, and 10-time Canadian Champion. Ray is a 3-time Olympian placing 4th in 1984 and a members of the Canadian wrestling team for 10 years and holds 16 Canadian national titles. Tina, 6th dan, is World University Champion and the first coach of the women's team athe 1988 Olympics. This book is well suited for all levels of judoka.
